Science in Schools - VDC demonstration

This is from an opportunity that I had to present to high school students about what a Virtual Design and Construction Engineer does. It was part of an organization called Science in School that connects STEM professionals with students to help them understand the different types of careers that are available. As part of this I had sets of Legos for the students and “plans” for how to build this house, but the plans had conflicts that made it impossible to build the house. This was an object lesson to show the importance of clash detection, then I showed this animation of how to build the house to talk about the difference between plans and 3D renderings and then 4D schedules.

Software: Revit, Unreal Engine, Premiere Pro
